JANUARY 7 MORNING
Think upon me, my God, for good.–NEH. 5:19.
Thus saith the Lord; I remember thee, the kindness of thy youth, the love of thine espousals, when thou wentest after me in the wilderness.–I will remember my covenant with thee in the days of thy youth, and I will establish unto thee an everlasting covenant.–I will visit you, and perform my good word toward you.–For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.–I would seek unto God, and unto God would I commit my cause: which doeth great things and unsearchable; marvelous things without number.–Many, O Lord my God, are thy wonderful works which thou hast done, and thy thoughts which are to us-ward: they cannot be reckoned up in order unto thee: if I would declare and speak of them they are more than can be numbered.
Jer. 2:2. -Ezek. 16:60. -Jer. 29:10. -Jer. 29:11.Isa. 55:9. -Job. 5:8,9. -Psa. 40:5.

JANUARY 7 EVENING
I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.–JOSH. 1:5.
There failed not ought of any good thing which the Lord had spoken unto the house of Israel; all came to pass.–God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?
The Lord thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him.–He will ever be mindful of his covenant.
Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee. Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands.
The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing.
Josh. 21:45. -Num. 23:19.Deut. 7:9. -Psa. 111:5.Isa. 49:15,16.Zeph. 3:17.
DECEMBER 19 MORNING
Unto the upright there ariseth light in the darkness.–PSA. 112:4.
Who is among you that feareth the Lord, that obeyeth the voice of his servant, that walketh in darkness, and hath no light? let him trust in the name of the Lord, and stay upon his God.–Though he fall, he shall
not be utterly cast down: for the Lord upholdeth him with his hand.–The commandment is a lamp, and the law is light.
Rejoice not against me, O mine enemy: when I fall, I shall arise; when I sit in darkness, the Lord shall be a light unto me. I will bear the indignation of the Lord, because I have sinned against him, until he plead my cause, and execute judgment for me: he will bring me forth to the light, and I shall behold his righteousness.
The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light. But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness!
Isa. 50:10. -Psa. 37:24. -Prov. 6:23.Mic. 7:8,9.Matt. 6:22,23.

DECEMBER 19 EVENING
He shall feed his flock like a shepherd: he shall gather the lambs with his arm, and carry them in his bosom, and shall gently lend those that are with young.–ISA. 40:11.
I have compassion on the multitude, because they continue with me now three days, and have nothing to eat: . . . I will not send them away fasting, lest they faint in the way.–We have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities. They brought young children to him, and he took them up in his arms, put his hands upon them, and blessed them.
I have gone astray like a lost sheep; seek thy servant.–The Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.–Ye were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls.
Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.–I will feed my flock, and I will cause them to lie down, saith the Lord God.
Matt. 15:32. -Heb. 4:15.Mark 10:13,16.Psa. 119:176. -Luke 19:10. -Pet. 2:25.Luke 12:32. -Ezek. 34:15.
DECEMBER 18 EVENING
Ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.–JOHN 8:32.
Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.–The law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.–If the Son . . . shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.
Brethren, we are not children of the bondwoman, but of the free.–Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.
Whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.–Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.
II Cor. 3:17. -Rom. 8:2. -John 8:36.Gal. 4:31. -Gal. 2:16.Jas. 1:25. -Gal. 5:1.
DECEMBER 9 MORNING
To do justice and judgment is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice.–PROV. 21:3.
He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the Lord require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?–Hath the Lord as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the Lord? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams.–To love him with all the heart, and with all the understanding, and with all the soul, and with all the strength, and to love his neighbour as himself, is more than all whole burnt offerings and sacrifices.
Therefore turn thou to thy God: keep mercy and judgment, and wait on thy God continually.–Mary . . . sat at Jesus’ feet, and heard his word. One thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her.
It is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.
Mic. 6:8. -I Sam. 15:22. -Mark 12:33.Hos. 12:6. -Luke 10:39,42.Phi. 2:13.
DECEMBER 8 EVENING
The dust shall return to the earth as it was.–ECCL. 12:7.
It is sown in corruption; it is sown in dishonour; it is sown in weakness; it is sown a natural body.–The first man is of the earth, earthy.
Dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.–One dieth in his full strength, being wholly at ease and quiet. And another dieth in the bitterness of his soul, and never eateth with pleasure. They shall lie down alike in the dust, and the worms shall cover them.
My flesh . . . shall rest in hope.–Though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God.–The Lord Jesus Christ shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.
Lord, make me to know mine end, and the measure of my days, what it is; that I may know how frail I am.–So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.
I Cor. 15:42-44. -I Cor. 15:47.Gen. 3:19. -Job 21:23,25,26.Psa. 16:9. Job 19:26. -Phi. 3:20,21.Psa. 39:4. -Psa. 90:12.
DECEMBER 5 MORNING
It is good for me that I have been afflicted; that I might learn thy statutes.–PSA. 119:71.
Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered.–We suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together. For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
He knoweth the way that I take: when he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold. My foot hath held his steps, his way have I kept, and not declined. Thou shalt remember all the way which the Lord thy God led thee these forty years in the wilderness, to humble thee, and to prove thee, to know what was in thine heart, whether thou wouldest keep his commandments, or no. Thou shalt also consider in thine heart, that, as a man chasteneth his son, so the Lord thy God chasteneth thee.
Therefore thou shalt keep the commandments of the Lord thy God, to walk in his ways, and to fear him.
Heb. 5:8. -Rom. 8:17,18.Job 23:10,11.Deut. 8:2,5,6.

DECEMBER 5 EVENING
By strength shall no man prevail.–I SAM. 2:9.
Then said David to the Philistine, Thou comest to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a shield: but I come to thee in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom thou hast defied.
And David put his hand in his bag, and took thence a stone, and slang it. So David prevailed over the Philistine with a sling and with a stone.
There is no king saved by the multitude of an host: a mighty man is not delivered by much strength. Behold, the eye of the Lord is upon them that fear him, upon them that hope in his mercy.–Both riches and honour come of thee, and thou reignest over all; and in thine hand is power and might; and in thine hand it is to make great, and to give strength unto all.
I glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ’s sake: for when
I am weak, then am I strong.
I Sam. 17:45,49,50.Psa. 33:16,18. -I Chr. 29:12.II Cor. 12:9,10.
DECEMBER 4 MORNING
Where shall wisdom be found?–JOB 28:12.
If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering.–Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.–The only wise God.—Be not wise in thine own eyes.
Ah, Lord God! behold, I cannot speak: for I am a child. But the Lord said unto me, Say not, I am a child: for thou shalt go to all that I shall send thee, and whatsoever I command thee thou shalt speak. Be not afraid of their faces: for I am with thee to deliver thee, saith the Lord.
Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you. Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.–All things whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.
Jas. 1:5,6. -Prov. 3:5,6. -I Tim. 1:17. -Prov. 3:7.Jer. 1:6-8.John 16:23,24. -Matt. 21:22.

DECEMBER 4 EVENING
I would not live alway.–JOB 7:16.
And I said, O that I had wings like a dove, for then would I fly away, and be at rest. I would hasten my escape from the windy storm and tempest.
In this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house which is from heaven. For we that are in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened: not for that we would be unclothed, but clothed upon, that mortality might be swallowed up of life.–Having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better.
Let us run with patience the race that is set before us. Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who, for the joy that was set before him, endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down
at the right hand of the throne of God. For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.
Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
Psa. 55:6,8.II Cor. 5:2,4. -Phi. 1:23.Heb. 12:1-3.John 14:27.
DECEMBER 3 MORNING
I would seek unto God, and unto God would I commit my cause.–JOB 5:8.
Is anything too hard for the Lord?–Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.–Be careful for nothing;but in every thing by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known unto God.–Casting all your care upon him, for he careth for you.
Hezekiah received the letter from the hand of the messengers, and read it: and Hezekiah went up unto the house of the Lord, and spread it before the Lord. And Hezekiah prayed unto the Lord.
It shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.–The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
I love the Lord, because he hath heard my voice and my supplications. Because he hath inclined his ear unto me, therefore will I call upon him as long as I live.
Gen. 18:14. -Psa. 37:5. -Phi. 4:6. -I Pet. 5:7.Isa. 37:14,15.Isa. 65:24. -Jas. 5:16.Psa. 116:1,2.

DECEMBER 3 EVENING
Our bodies washed with pure water.–HEB. 10:22.
Thou shalt . . . make a laver of brass, . . . and thou shalt put it between the tabernacle of the congregation and the altar, and thou shalt put water therein. For Aaron and his sons shall wash their hands
and their feet thereat: when they go into the tabernacle of the congregation, they shall wash with water, that they die not; . . . they shall wash their hands and their feet, that they die not.–Your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you.–If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are. In my flesh shall I see God: whom I shall see for myself, and mine eyes shall behold, and not another.–There shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth.–Thou art of purer eyes than to behold evil, and canst not look on iniquity.–I beseech you, therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
Exo. 30:18-21. -I Cor. 6:19. -I Cor. 3:17.Job 19:26,27. -Rev. 21:27. Hab. 1:13. -Rom. 12:1.
